Like it, but the only problem I had was the bottom of each cube drooping without supports.

sorry, did you printed this pot without support ?

Yep it will print fine with no support.

how it possible? abs?

I'm not a huge fan of straight up and down pots/planters, but I love this. Just had a play and I've tapered it out. Will post it when I know it prints well (almost done and looking good)

The first pic reminds me of Mario games! Cool design!

Can this be printed with the spiral vase option?

excellent work. Thanks.

amazing design!!!! Great work bro!!!

What program are you using to generate the file? If it's OpenSCAD, would you mind sharing the source code?

I am trying to dig up the original source code to post here, I haven't been lucky doing so as of yet. It was originally created with using both OpenSCAD and FreeCAD.

No worries. I cranked something similar out in OpenSCAD on the weekend. I'll clean the code up and post it this evening. I really like the design.

Oh that's cool. Nothing more frustrating than losing track of source files -_-

Here's my interpretation. I didn't use the same technique to isolate each cube on the surface and it's about twice the size with a bit of a taper. Thanks again

Geometric Pot

Oh that's really nice, I like the taper!

@EMRL

Could you make a version without the hole in the bottom?

Thanks in advance.

@Big_Bjoern, I added a second version with no hole in the bottom - enjoy.

At the default settings, this prints out much smaller than I expected. @EMRL, could you add a couple variations? A shallow, wide version and a shorter version would both be welcome.

I am planning on getting around to doing a few different proportions. I'm also working a pendant lamp using this basic design as a shade as well.

As far as the scale oh this STL, I thought people would scale it as their preferences are so inclined.

What machine is that?

It's a Lulzbot TAZ 5.
