Delta Printer 2020 Extrusion Slider
I got fed up with tweaking and replacing worn rollers.
Researched and Reviewed
Found sliders to be a possible solution
No fully satisfied with the designs I found
So this is what I designed.
Yes those are aeration holes! Why? Glad you asked ...
I found and printed a few slider versions from Thingiverse and the net. Each seem to hug the 2020 the side of the direction of movement do to gaps . Tighter tolerances solved this mostly but caused friction issues. Properly finishing with sanding and a light light coat of Krylon Teflon spay paint took care of the friction. Then an annoying vibration was being generated from air cushion effect.
These holes allow this air pressure to escape.
Light dab of canola oil on the inside surface when I assembled months ago and have not since.
This slider's motion is smooth and no headaches
