Print Thing TagSummary
This gear was designed to work with the shorter shaft of the 28BYJ-48 stepper motor for a camera slider project. It should also work for most other machine belt applications too as it offsets the shorter shaft and adds an extra 2mm for better belt tracking on a 6mm GT-2 belt design. The gear should be printed at 0.2 Layer height, 30% infill (min) and think shells. Also worth note is printed with out support and it works, but the upper lip isn't so pretty but function and think it was better then having supports stuck to the gear. Another thing to note is the fit is VERY tight so I used a heat gun to warn the shaft (do not burn yourself, its easy to to do) to heat it and pressed it in. This makes for a very tight fit, in addition you could also use JB Weld too as keep in mind it has to be tight as you are placing a lot of force on that shorter shaft.
