I was once forwarded a copy of this from 3D Systems to print as a test print for a support case.
They held onto it like it was their own sending only a one time link to the file already formatted for their Cube 3.
You have the option of downloading either ABS or PLA.

So the question is, who is the originator of this model? Does 3D Systems own any rights to this?

Thanks for the great model, we had fun printing it on our Zortrax M200!

Really wish I could print the whole set from somewhere...

This is amazing. Can you please do the whole set.

I can confirm that this piece is indeed fixed and has no manifold issues. Printed a treat. There is sort of a spiral / helix in the middle that is less than the diameter of the filament. This did not print well but that's due to my own settings. Had i seen it in there first before starting the print i would have drastically lowered my print speed. Otherwise. Gorgeous model. Huge. But gorgeous.

If you designed a whole chess set like this it would be wildly popular.

YES the whole set design to this style and detail would be stunning. I just printed this last night on my maker select at 100mics and its stunning! will post a made later tonight after work.

Is this part of a set? Where can I find it?

I adore this!! I was not prepared to find the staircase inside! I am thrilled and super happy!

Thank you!!

I discovered that while the netfabb basic application does not fix the errors in this model, the online netfabb cloud version cleans it up completely.

It is seriously screwed up - error4s all over the place that netfabb won't fix.

Do you have the version that wasn't scaled up?

Is this fixed, or does it still have all the manifold errors?
