I was going to try this software but I didn't see one good comment. NOT ONE. Why would Thingiverse still be recommending software that obviously doesn't work made by people who use trickery to sell their software?
Word to the wise... always read comments of other users before wasting time on worthless crap

honestly im having trouble turning my stl files into gcode files

Totally useless due to terrible resolution, and poor toolbox as well. Not worth a try, but if you do, the good side is that you'll know it's useless in less than one minute.

Resolution is awful!!!

It's a slit as big as the message box... totally useless

Hi I keep getting "access forbidden, malformed signature" when trying to access a file i edited (four many, many hours) with 3D Slash.

Link: https://www.thingiverse.com/apps/3d-slash-customizer/run?thing_id=4062454

Please help so I can keep working on this file. FYI I paid for the Premium Membership so that I didn't keep getting the window asking me to subscribe to a plan.

I'm having the same problem. Can't access the file Malformed Signature. Used the Web version. As I worked on the project the App kept reducing functionality. Started with access to .25mm now I can only use 1mm. Must be to force me to buy access. I don't like that tactic. Therefore I would never pay for the use of this app. Too bad you may have had a custoner, but not after pulling such trickery . Gone forever now.

Can`t edit my thing :(
"access forbidden. Malformed signature."

What i`m doing wrong?

I'm having the same problem. "access forbidden. Malformed signature." Would love to get back in since I have to make a couple of changes.

Hi,
could you precise your problem and provide the url of the Thing on thingiverse, so that we can reproduce the issue.

All the best,
The 3D Slash Team

Dear Grayed_8119,

We apologize for the inconvenience. However we would like to precise the following points:

  • there is no need to go to our website and to create a 3D Slash account to customize a STL file from Thingiverse. As described in the "instructions", you can use the "Create Thing" button to save your work back to Thingiverse.
  • when you click on the 3D Slash button, it will open your work on the 3D Slash website, where you can discover other features, samples, tutorials... Here you need to create a FREE 3D Slash account because it is the best way to save your work and to allow you to retrieve it from any computer/device.
  • when you create your account, your last work is attached to this account. So it is not lost, and your time is not wasted. It should open directly after you create your account and click on the "create" button in the menu bar. It appears also in your folder, but in the archive section of the folder. We understand that it would be more fluent to see it in the main section of the folder, so we will fix this thanks to your feedback!

If you still encounter any problem to retrieve your file, please contact us at [email protected]

All the best,
The 3D Slash Team

And once I found that I have to go to the website to work with a sample file... I am particularly ticked that this thing let me spend ten minutes customizing a .STL flle, then when I went to save it it wanted me to register. Which I did. AND THEN IT LOST MY FRICKIN' FILE. What a rotten thing to do. Tell me FIRST that I have to register BEFORE I do a bunch of work with your software. Not impressed at all with this approach.

These have to be the most USELESS "Instructions" I've ever seen.

I love the animation when you blow things up. I wish it made a pew pew sound. :)
