is there any way to log in to the app if you created your makerbot account through a google account?
Same login problem. Search is not working. Does not enter the android application.
Just turn the login off so we can at least browse the site with the app. Looks like you my be able to get away with just disabling JavaScript on the login page.
So... Is the app still a thing? Did it die or did development just stop? Would be very handy but I know Apps cost money.

soooo, it's almost September 22 and this shit is still down... unbelieveble...
An invalid answer is returned when the program attempts to oauth-connect to the thingiverse website. It's possible that the certificate has expired, but it's more probable that there is a problem with the redirects.

This is more than dissapointing... its now March 2022 and it appears no one is monitoring this thread to fix the bug

I have read it's the special characters that in the passwords. Set you password without special characters and trying again and no this is not acceptable that the app has a 1 in The play store.

Ok, removed the app as it doesn't work anymore for a while now. In app store it isn't compatible anymore with my phone. So can't reinstall in amyway. Please fix

The Android app has been broken and giving the java error since about May 2020.
Makerbot, please give some kind of update whether you plan on fixing it or we should find a 3rd party app to browse thingiverse on Android.
I really can't understand why there hasn't been any update on this, whatsoever. Way to alienate the community you created!....
The issue is not with the app, but on server side.
When the app tries to oauth - connect to the thingiverse website it does not get a valid response.
Maybe the certiciate has expired more more likely is , that something is wrong with the redirects.
@makerbot It would go a long way if you would just acknowledge that the app is currently broken.

Im just running into this now. Wondering if anyone in this thread has come across a solution yet. Also, Thingiverse, any comments on this? Seems like a problem worth putting some effort into, allot of users including myself are using your platform entirely from Android, so this is quite a deal breaker for the platform as a whole if the app doesnt funtion.
Same problem here. Reset password via PC browser. Reinstalled App. I would expect a faster fix from the maker community of maker communities!

Identical problem here. Thingiverse Android app seems quite broken. I already tried a shorter password (<16 characters) and no special characters but none helps.

Currently rated 1.1 on the Google Play Store with over 7k reviews. I'd say this is being done already. I'm frankly shocked that MakerBot can't throw together a halfway useable app.
At this point, they'd be better off releasing a devkit and sanctioning an open-source community app.

Installed the Thingiverse app for the 1st time, but just continuously get an error (attached) each time I attempt logging in. Have tried over multiple days in case it was server-side. Cleared cache, cleared storage, uninstalled & reinstalled - no better. Oh well.

Same problem here. First, the search function ceased to return any results. Now the app only returns an error when trying to log in. The site itself may be having troubles - the last item I upload only rendered one of my parts files in the pictures - very unusual.
The app has not once let me get passed the login screen.
I used it months ago and it was working fine, having the same issue as you are now... must've been an update to the app?

Hello, I've just installed the app and while most works perfectly fine, the search function never returns any results. I have a Xaomi Pocophone F1, I wonder if anyone can help?
Missing basic functions such as editing a Made file. The ability to edit anything is missing I believe. It is decent but it can be good or even great with some simple functions.
Why the hell ist the App not compatible with my device??? It used to be nd I need just a simple App to not have to use the buggy website - What is so complicated about that? The app is no high quality 3D game that requires specific hardware so why is my device not compatible?
Handy and mostly functional. It always seems to hang up on loading my 'Collections', so I have to favorite Things and come back to them later on PC. Not the end of the world, but makes it fairly clumsy.

On the android App (on Samsung S8), in the "My collection" section isen't possible to see all the collection, it charge only a part of my collection.
Anothe problem is the editing of the "things": it's impossible to change the title (and other problem to reorder the photo)...
I hope that problems will be solved

Had this for 3 months, seems really poor with numerous errors, cant upload or download anything!
I have the app on my Nvidia Shield tablet and a 3D printer which I can print to from it but I can't download files from the app. Kinda pointless!
I own two pretty nice tablets and I'm surprised to see that this app is not compatible with either of them. Both came out in 2017 so I'm not sure why that would be. Otherwise I love this site!
